IT TAKES A VILLAGE
A few months ago, a little project was introduced to our local volunteers. Two patterns (MY TOWN HOUSE BLOCK and MY TOWN HOUSE TREE BLOCK) were provided. We thought later in the Spring we would use them to create a quilt. We have already received quite a few very creative blocks and are still accepting them.
Now we are thinking, maybe we could get enough blocks to make more than one quilt. Our idea is to have one completed and then possibly donate it to FLYING HORSE FARMS for display as a symbol of: “It takes a village to raise a child.” A proverb that means that an entire community of people must provide for and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.
Snuggled is a tiny piece of that village for children who are experiencing health, family, home or safety issues. We thought maybe you would like to be a part of our Village.
When your blocks are complete, please return them to one of our meeting locations, or mail them to: Snuggled in Hope Quits, Inc, PO BOX 53, Mt Gilead, Ohio 43338
If you don’t mind, please include your name, address and email. We would like to know who and where “OUR VILLAGE” is. Who knows, if we get enough blocks, YOU might be the lucky one who receives the other quilt!
